In this study, I discussed the problem of understanding the pragmatic meaning of the Korean-to-Chinese translations by applying text pragmatics in addition to bilingual textology. As a results, I analyzed in a variety of errors based on pragmatic meanings in the Korean-to-Chinese translations, successfully could explain the phenomenon, propose the alternatives. For example, in the contrastive analysis of the context, linguistic or otherwise, of the utterance, I raised that a linguistic ambiguity could be overcome by focusing on a text’s context, not an individual lexicon’s meaning.
