The Representative Function and Grammatical Meaning of Modern Chinese Perfect in Discourse

This paper studies the representative function of chinese sentence final LE in Discourse. The author believe that Chinese sentence final LE is the mark of perfect. One way in which the perfect differs from the other aspects that we have examined is that it expresses a relation between two time-points, on the one hand the time of the state resulting from a prior situation, and on the other the time of that prior situation. The paper first elaborated Perfect's definition, thought that it was always accompanied by the reference time. It was one kind includes tense factor to have the compound factor grammatical aspect. Perfect have two functions in text: the first is temporal function has temporary backlash; the second is subjective appraisal function. It may divided into stative perfect and actional perfect from the grammatical aspect.
