중년 여성의 팬덤 활동이 생활 만족에 미치는 영향: 임영웅 팬클럽 ‘영웅시대’를 중심으로

The Impact of Fandom Activities on the Life Satisfaction of Middle-Aged Women: Focusing on Lim Young-woong’s Fan Club, ‘Hero Generation’

본 연구는 중년 여성의 팬덤 활동이 생활 만족에 미치는 영향을 탐구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히, 대규모 팬덤을형성한 가수 임영웅의 공식 팬카페 ‘영웅시대’를 중심으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 3가지 주제와 10가지 범주 그리고22가지의 의미 단위가 도출되었다. 영웅시대에 발을 담그게 된 동기는 임영웅 음악에 대한 깊은 공감, 치유와 힐링, 자아표현, 공동체 연결의 매력으로 나타났다. 영웅시대 활동을 통한 생활 만족 향상의 원인은 자아 효능감 향상, 엄마의 마인드 재인식, 소속감으로 나타났다. 영웅시대 회원들의 꿈은 임영웅의 지속적인 성장, 선한 영향력, 중년여성들을 위한 팬덤 문화 구축으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 중년 여성의 팬덤 활동이 단순한 여가 활동을 넘어 생활만족에 필요한 중요 활동이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

This study aims to explore the influence of fandom activities on the life satisfaction of middle-aged women, focusing on the official fan club Hero Generation of the singer Lim Young-woong, who has established a large-scale fandom. The analysis derived three main topics, ten categories, and twenty-two meaning units. The motivations for joining Hero Generation were identified as deep empathy with Lim Young-woong’s music, healing and comfort, self-expression, and the appeal of community connection. The factors contributing to enhanced life satisfaction through participation included increased self-efficacy, a renewed perception of motherhood, and a sense of belonging. The members’ aspirations encompassed Lim Young-woong’s continuous growth, the spread of positive influence, and the establishment of a fandom culture for middle-aged women. These findings confirm that fandom activities for middle-aged women are not merely leisure pursuits but essential activities that contribute to life satisfaction.
