간호대학생의 사회적 책임감, 공감, 도덕적 용기가 윤리적 민감성에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Social Responsibility, Empathy, and Moral Courage on Ethical Sensitivity in Nursing Students

본 연구는 간호대학생의 사회적 책임감, 공감, 도덕적 용기 및 윤리적 민감성 수준을 파악하고, 이들 변인 간의 구조적 관계를 실증적으로 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구대상은 G시 소재 간호학과 재학생이며, 설문조사를 통해 사회적 책임감, 공감, 도덕적 용기, 윤리적 민감성에 관한 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 IBM SPSS Statistics 29 프로그램을 활용하여 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석, 다중회귀분석 등을 통해 분석하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 간호대학생의 사회적 책임감, 공감, 도덕적 용기, 윤리적 민감성 수준은 전반적으로 중간수준 이상으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학년, 성별, 종교 등 일반적 특성에 따라 네 변인 수준의 유의한 차이는 확인되지 않았다. 셋째, 사회적 책임감, 공감, 도덕적 용기, 윤리적 민감성 간에는 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 넷째, 사회적 책임감과 도덕적 용기는 윤리적 민감성에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미친 반면, 공감의 직접적 영향은 나타나지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로, 본 연구는 간호대학생의 윤리적 민감성 함양을 위한 교육 전략 수립 시 사회적 책임감과 도덕적 용기 증진에 초점을 둘 필요가 있음을 제언한다.

This study aimed to examine the levels of social responsibility, empathy, moral courage, and ethical sensitivity among nursing students and to empirically analyze the structural relationships among these variables. Participants were undergraduate nursing students enrolled in a university located in City G. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires on social responsibility, empathy, moral courage, and ethical sensitivity. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 29 and including reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. The main findings were as follows. First, the levels of social responsibility, empathy, moral courage, and ethical sensitivity were generally above average. Second, there were no significant differences in these four variables according to general characteristics such as grade, gender, or religion. Third, social responsibility, empathy, moral courage, and ethical sensitivity showed significant positive correlations with one another. Fourth, social responsibility and moral courage had significantly positive effects on ethical sensitivity, whereas the direct effect of empathy was not significant. These findings suggest that educational strategies to enhance nursing students’ ethical sensitivity should focus on strengthening social responsibility and moral courage.
