In the time of Belt and Road Initiative development, China-Myanmar humanities exchange has become more and more important. Because digital technology develops very fast, it brings new and significant changes to humanities exchange in border regions. This kind of digital change needs to be studied to understand how it works and who plays a role in it. As the main group in the digital age, Generation Z — they are real “digital natives” — have a very important role in promoting digital humanistic exchange between China and the Myanmar border area. This paper aims to do a full analysis of the current situation of these exchanges. From the perspective of Generation Z, using the theory of cross-cultural communication, look at what problems exist and what factors influence them, find out what blocks good communication and what pushes it forward, and put up a new model for cultural exchange. These models try to use the special characteristics of this generation to make exchange more sustainable and effective. The goal is to give some theoretical support and practical suggestions to help improve the China-Myanmar relationship and support the deeper implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.
