마이크로디그리 직업연계 교과 수강이 취·창업 직업정보 인지와 진로탐색에 미치는 영향

The Effect of a Job-linked Microdegree Course on the Perception of Job Information for Employment and Entrepreneurship and Career Exploration

본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 급변하는 산업 수요와 대학 교육 간의 역량 격차 해소 대안으로 주목받는 마이크로디그리의 교육적 효과를 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 특히, 산업계와 직접 연계된 '직업연계' 마이크로디그리 교과 수강이 학생들의 '취·창업 직업정보 인지', '진로결정 자기효능감', '진로탐색행동'에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구를 위해 2024년 2학기 경기도 S대학교 마이크로디그리대학의 직업연계 교과 수강생 153명을 대상으로 단일집단 사전-사후 설계를 적용하였다. 교과 수강 전과 후에 '기회 인식 및 지식 습득', '진로결정 자기효능감', '진로탐색행동' 수준을 동일한 척도로 측정하였으며, 수집된 자료는 대응표본 t-검정으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 마이크로디그리 직업연계 교과 수강 후 세 변인 모두에서 통계적으로 유의미한 향상이 나타났다. '기회 인식 및 지식 습득'은 사전 평균 2.85에서 사후 평균 3.50으로(t=-8.123, p<.001), '진로결정 자기효능감'은 사전 3.10에서 사후 3.65로(t=-7.541, p<.001), '진로탐색행동'은 사전 2.90에서 사후 3.30으로(t=-6.229, p<.001) 유의하게 증가하였다. 본 연구 결과는 마이크로디그리 직업연계 교과가 사회인지진로이론(SCCT)에서 강조하는 '성취 경험'을 제공하는 효과적인 교육적 개입임을 시사한다. 이는 단순한 지식 전달을 넘어 학생들의 진로 자신감을 고취하고, 이를 구체적인 탐색 행동으로 연결함으로써 '진로 발달의 선순환 구조'를 창출할 수 있음을 의미한다. 본 연구는 마이크로디그리의 교육적 성과를 실증적으로 검증하여 , 산업 수요에 대응하는 유연한 실무 중심 교육과정의 개발 및 확산에 중요한 실천적 함의를 제공한다.

This study aimed to empirically verify the educational effects of microdegrees, which are gaining attention as an alternative to resolving the competency gap between rapidly changing industrial demands and university education in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. In particular, it analyzed the effects of 'job-linked' microdegree courses on students' 'Perception of Job Information for Employment and Entrepreneurship,' 'Career Decision Self-Efficacy,' and 'Career Exploration Behavior.' For this research, a one-group pretest-posttest design was applied to 153 students enrolled in job-linked courses at the Microdegree College of S University in Gyeonggi-do during the second semester of 2024. The levels of 'Opportunity Awareness and Knowledge Acquisition,' 'Career Decision Self-Efficacy,' and 'Career Exploration Behavior' were measured using the same scale before and after the course, and the collected data were analyzed using a paired-samples t-test. The analysis results showed statistically significant improvements in all three variables after taking the job-linked microdegree courses. 'Opportunity Awareness and Knowledge Acquisition' significantly increased from a pre-test mean of 2.85 to a post-test mean of 3.50(t=-8.123, p<.001). 'Career Decision Self-Efficacy' significantly increased from 3.10 to 3.65(t=-7.541, p<.001), and 'Career Exploration Behavior' also significantly increased from 2.90 to 3.30(t=-6.229, p<.001). These findings suggest that job-linked microdegree courses serve as an effective educational intervention that provides the 'mastery experiences' emphasized by Social Cognitive Career Theory. This implies that such courses can create a 'virtuous cycle of career development' by not only delivering knowledge but also fostering students' career confidence and connecting it to concrete exploratory actions. By empirically verifying the educational outcomes of microdegrees, this study provides important practical implications for the development and expansion of flexible, practice-oriented curricula that respond to industrial demands.
