광복 80주년, 삼일공업고등학교의 뿌리를 묻다 - 건학이념과 독립운동 유산의 미래세대 교육 방안을 중심으로

Tracing the Roots of Samil Technical High School on the 80th Anniversary of Korea’s Liberation : Focusing on the Founding Philosophy and the Educational Transmission of Independence Movement Legacies

본 연구는 광복 80주년을 맞아 삼일공업고등학교의 건학 이념과 독립운동의 유산을 재조명하고, 이를 미래세대 교육과 기억의 계승차원에서 고찰하였다. 이 학교는 3․1운동의 정신을 계승하여 설립되었으며, 교사와 학생들이 항일운동에 적극적으로 참여한 역사적 배경을 지니고 있다. 일제의 교육탄압 속에서도 민족의식과 자주정신을 고취한 교육 현장은 오늘날까지 이어지는 중요한 가치이다. 이 글은 삼일공고의 역사적 정체성과 독립운동 정신을 정리하고, 이를 기반으로 미래세대에게 어떻게 계승․전달할 것인가에 대한 방향을 제시한다. 나아가 삼일공고 사례는 지역사회의 교육운동이 민족 독립운동과 긴밀히 연결되었음을 보여주며, 광복 80주년을 맞아 역사교육과 공동체적 가치의 함양을 위한 실천적 과제를 모색하는 데 있다.

This study reexamines the founding philosophy and the legacy of the independence movement of Samil Technical High School on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation, with a focus on their significance for education and memory in future generations. Samil School was established in the spirit of the March First Independence Movement, and both teachers and students actively participated in anti-Japanese resistance. Despite Japan’s colonial oppression of education, the school nurtured national consciousness and a spirit of self-determination, values that continue to resonate today. This paper outlines the historical identity of Samil Technical High School and its role in the independence movement, while also presenting directions for transmitting this legacy to the younger generation. Furthermore, the case of Samil Technical High School demonstrates that local educational movements were closely intertwined with the national independence movement. Marking the 80th anniversary of liberation, this study contributes to exploring practical tasks for historical education and the cultivation of communal values.
