경찰의 범죄예방활동과 무질서에 대한 인식이 주민의 체감안전도에 미치는 영향

The Impact of Perceptions of Police Crime-Prevention Activities and Community Disorder on Residents’ Perceived Safety

이 연구는 경찰의 범죄예방활동과 무질서에 대한 인식이 주민의 체감안전도에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 영향관계 검증을 위해 경기도 양주시민 280명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 배부하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석결과, 경찰의 범죄예방활동은 기존 선행연구결과에서 제시한 바와 같이 지역주민의 체감안전도를 증가시키는 중요한 요인임이 확인되었다. 반면, 지역사회 무질서 요인은 기존 선행연구들과 달리 영향관계가 확인되지 않았다. 연구결과를 통해 긍정적 경찰 접촉을 확대하는 경찰조직 차원에서의 구조적 전략 필요성과 디지털 시대에 부합하는 온라인 중심의 지역사회 접촉방안을 강조하였다.

This study investigates how perceptions of police crime-prevention activities and community disorder influence residents’ perceived safety. A structured survey was administered to 280 residents in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, to examine these relationships. The analysis revealed that perceptions of police crime-prevention activities significantly enhanced residents’ perceived safety, consistent with prior research. However, unlike earlier studies, community disorder showed no significant effect. These findings underscore the importance of organizational strategies that expand positive police–citizen encounters and highlight the need for digital-era, online community engagement as a complementary approach to strengthening perceived public safety.
