With the accelerated internationalization of China's sports industry and the deepening reform of foreign language teaching in university sports programs, the need for accurate interpretation and language conversion of rules for rowing—a traditional Olympic sport—in international competitions has become increasingly prominent. Currently, there is a lack of systematic bilingual learning resources focused on rowing umpire rules in the field of sports English teaching, leading to cognitive deviations and practical difficulties for students in understanding technical terms of the World Rowing Federation, penalty decision logic, and cross-cultural communication scenarios. This study collects official rule documents from the World Rowing Federation, historical penalty cases from Olympic Games, and on-site umpire recordings to construct a three-tier bilingual corpus comprising rule clauses, penalty explanations, and technical action terminology using term extraction and alignment techniques. Natural language processing tools are employed for contextual annotation and semantic network analysis of terms, with a focus on addressing the challenge of explicitly translating implicit logical relationships in sports rule texts. By designing modular teaching cases to apply the corpus in simulated sports English classroom scenarios, empirical research shows that the corpus improves students' accurate understanding of rowing umpire terminology by 43.7% and enhances their professional communication skills in rule-based contexts. This study provides a transferable resource development model for specialized English teaching in sports and offers practical support for cultivating interdisciplinary sports talents with international umpire qualifications.
全球化进程和高校体育外语教育改革双重推动下,赛艇运动作为奥运传统项目,在国际赛事中的规则阐释与语言转换需求日益凸显。目前在体育英语教学领域缺少专门针对赛艇裁判规则系统的双语学习资源,导致学生对于解读国际划联技术标准、理解判罚逻辑以及应对跨文化交际情境时存在认知偏差或操作障碍。本研究以国际划联官方文档、历届奥运会案例数据及专业裁判现场录音资料为基础,采用术语提取算法建立包含规则条款、判罚释义和技术动词的多层次双语语料库,并利用自然语言处理工具进行术语语境标注和概念关联分析,主要解决体育规则文本中隐性逻辑关系的显性表达问题。本研究选择模块化教学模式,以体育英语语料库为基础建立课堂情境模拟实验。经实证数据表明:使用该语料库可使学生赛艇裁判术语理解正确率提升43.7%,同时大大加强了其根据规则语境下的专业交际能力。为今后的体育专项领域双语教育提供了系统的资源开发思路,对培养拥有国际执裁资格的复合型人才具有重要的实践指导意义。
