『신증동국여지승람(新增東國輿地勝覽)』 수록 경상도 지역 누정의 성격과 그 의미

이 연구는 『신증동국여지승람(新增東國輿地勝覽)』 누정 항목에 수록된 경상도 지역의 누정과 누정제영시를 살펴본 것이다. 『신증동국여지승람』은 조선전기의 대표적 관찬지리서로, 인문지리적 측면에서 중요한 자료이다. 실용적인 내용뿐만 아니라 문화에 관한 기록이 매우 상세하며 항목별로 많은 시문이 첨재되어 있다는 점에서 경상도 지역에 산재한 방대한 누정에 대한 종합적 조사 및 고찰이 가능한 자료라 할 수 있다. 먼저 누정 항목의 누정 관련 정보의 제공 방식은 상이했는데, 누정에 대한 위치에서부터 공간에서 창작된 시문까지 다양하게 수록되어 있는 것이 특징이다. 또한 지역의 규모나 지리적 위치 등에 따라 제영시 수록 여부에 영향을 미쳤음을 볼 수 있다. 누정은 다양한 문화활동이 이루어지는 공간으로, 많은 이들이 방문하면서 문학창작공간으로도 기능하였다. 수려한 경관을 지닌 자연을 완상하는 전형적인 누정제영시의 특징을 지니고 있으면서도, 지역에 대한 정보를 시를 통해서도 전하기 위해 지역의 역사, 지형적 한계 등 편찬 방향과 궤를 같이하는 작품들도 다수 수록되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 경상도 지역 누정의 경우 대부분 공루였는데, 많은 이들이 방문하면서 다수의 작품이 창작되었고, 이러한 누정은 실체성과 가상성을 지니며 문학경관으로서의 힘을 지속적으로 지닐 수 있게 되었다. 『신증동국여지승람』이 조선 후기까지 많은 영향을 미쳤지만, 경상도 지역누정의 전체적인 면모를 파악하기에는 부족한 지점이 있다. 따라서 향후 경상도 지역의 누정에 대한 논의를 점차 확장해 나간다면, 이들의 전개과정과 특성을 보다 세밀하게 살펴볼 수 있을 것이다.

This study examines the Nujeong(樓亭) and NujeongJeiyoung poetry in Gyeongsang-do included in the Sinjeung Dongguk Yeoji Seungram(『新增東國輿地勝覽』). Sinjeung Dongguk Yeoji Seungram(『新增東國輿地勝覽』) is a representative official geographical book of the early Joseon Dynasty, and is an important data in terms of human geography. In addition to practical content, records on culture are very detailed, and many poems are embedded by item, which can be said to be a data that enables comprehensive investigation and consideration of the vast Nujeong(樓亭) scattered in Gyeongsang-do. First of all, the method of providing information related to the Nujeong(樓亭) was different, and it was characterized by a variety of contents ranging from the location of the pavilion to poems created in space. In addition, it was seen that the size and geographical location of the region influenced whether or not it was included in the festival. Nujeong(樓亭) is a space where various cultural activities take place, and as many people visit, it also functioned as a literary creation space. While it has the characteristics of a typical Nujeong(樓亭) Jeyeong poetry that complements nature based on a beautiful natural environment, it can be seen that it also contains a number of works that are in line with the direction of compilation, such as local history and topographic limitations, in order to convey information about the region through poetry. Most of the Nujeong(樓亭) in Gyeongsang-do were a pavilion for public purposes, and a number of works were created when many visited, and this Nujeong(樓亭) was able to have substance and virtuality and continue to have power as a literary landscape. Although the Sinjeung Dongguk Yeoji Seungram(『新增東國輿地勝覽』) had a lot of influence until the late Joseon Dynasty, it was insufficient to grasp the overall aspect of the Nujeong(樓亭) in Gyeongsang-do. Therefore, if the discussion on the Nujeong(樓亭) in Gyeongsang-do is gradually expanded in the future, the development process and characteristics of them can be examined in more detail.
