This study investigates the relationship between Quizizz-based TOEIC classes and academic achievement and class satisfaction among first-year nursing students, grounded in gamification theory and digital-based learning approaches. A total of 102 students participated in this 15-week study, with TOEIC classes utilizing the Quizizz platform conducted for 12 weeks. Academic achievement was measured through final examinations, and class satisfaction was assessed using a modified digital-based English class satisfaction scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results showed that Quizizz class participation, online quiz experience, and digital device utilization ability were significantly associated with both academic achievement and class satisfaction. Strong positive correlations were found between academic achievement and class satisfaction, with students showing higher satisfaction with teaching methods compared to other satisfaction domains. Quizizz-based TOEIC classes showed positive correlations with both academic achievement and class satisfaction among nursing students. Active participation, digital literacy, and gamification experience are key success factors, supporting gamification-based English education for digital native learners. The findings provide implications for integrating gamification elements in ESP contexts, emphasizing that successful implementation requires not only technological tools but also careful instructional design that promotes learner engagement and addresses digital literacy gaps.
