다문화가정 고교 3학년이 지각한 부모지지가 진로태도 결정성에 미치는 영향: 자아존중감과 진로태도 준비성의 순차적 매개효과

The Effect of Perceived Parental Support on Career Attitude Decisions of High School Seniors from Multicultural Families : The Sequential Mediating Effects of Self-Esteem and Career Attitude Readiness

목적 본 연구는 다문화가정 고교 3학년을 대상으로 이들이 지각하는 부모지지와 진로태도 결정성의 관계에서 자아존중감과 진로태도 준비성의 순차적 매개효과가 있는지를 확인하기 위해서 진행되었다. 이를 분석함으로써 다문화가정 고교 3학년의 진로태도 결정성에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 방법 연구 대상은 한국청소년정책연구원(KYRI)의 「다문화청소년패널조사(MAPS)」 1기 데이터에서 고교 3학년에 해당하는 9차 자료 데이터 중에서 무응답을 제거한 1,146명의 자료를 사용하였고,수집된 자료는 연구모형에 따른 연구문제를 분석하였다. 결과 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화가정 고교 3학년이 지각한 부모지지와 진로태도 결정성 간에 자아존중감은 정적인 완전 매개 역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 다문화가정 고교 3학년이 지각한 부모지지와 진로태도 결정성 간에 진로태도 준비성은 정적인 부분 매개 역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 다문화가정 고교 3학년이 지각한 부모지지와 진로태도 결정성의 관계에서 자아존중감과 진로태도 준비성은 순차적으로 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론 이상의 연구 결과를 기반으로 다문화가정 고교 3학년이 지각한 부모지지로 인한 진로태도 결정성을 향상하고 자아존중감과 진로태도 준비성을 증가시키기 위한 효율적인 개입 방안을 제시하였다.

Objectives This study was conducted to examine whether there is a sequential mediating effect of self-esteem and career attitude readiness on the relationship between perceived parental support and career attitude determination among multicultural high school seniors. By analyzing this, we aimed to provide basic data necessary for determining career attitudes of third-year high school students from multiculturalfamilies. Methods The research subjects used data from 1,146 high school seniors in the 9th wave of the first Multicultural Youth Panel Survey (MAPS) conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute (KYRI), after removing non-responses. The collected data were analyzed forresearch questions according to the research model. Results The results of the analysis are as follows. First, self-esteem was confirmed to have a positive full mediating role between perceived parental support and career attitude determinacy among high school seniors from multicultural families. Second, career attitude readiness was confirmed to have a positive partial mediating role between perceived parental support and career attitude determinacy among high school seniors from multicultural families. Third, self-esteem and career attitude readiness were confirmed to sequentially mediate the relationship between perceived parental support and career attitude determinacy among high school seniors from multiculturalfamilies. Conclusions Based on the above research results, an effective intervention plan was proposed to improve the decision-making ability of high school seniors from multicultural families regarding career attitudes due to perceived parental support and toincrease self-esteem and career attitude readiness.
