다문화 청소년의 비행행동과 문화적응스트레스, 이중문화수용태도, 자아존중감에 관한 연구 : 중학교 2학년의 인구사회학적 특성을 중심으로

A Study on the Delinquent Behavior, Cultural Adaptation Stress, Bicultural Acceptance Attitudes, and Self-Esteem on Multicultural Youth: Focusing on the Demographic Characteristics of Second-Year Middle School Students

목적 본 연구는 다문화 청소년 중학교 2학년 학생의 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 비행행동과 문화적응스트레스, 이중문화수용태도, 자아존중감의 차이가 있는지와 다문화 청소년의 비행행동은 문화적응스트레스, 이중문화수용태도, 자아존중감과 어떠한 관련성을 보이는지 확인하고 결과에 따른 실천적 함의를 제시하고자 진행되었다. 방법 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원에서 수집한 「다문화청소년 패널조사(Multicultural AdolescentsPanelStudy,MAPS)」의 2기 자료에서 중학교 2학년에 해당하는 5차 자료를 활용하였고,수집된 자료는 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 차이 분석과 위계적 회귀분석으로 본 연구의 연구문제를 검증하였다. 결과 연구문제에 따른 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별에서는 남학생이 비행행동, 자아존중감, 여학생은 이중문화수용태도에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났고, 지역규모에서는 문화적응스트레스와 자아존중감만 지역 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났고, 부모의 외국인 여부는 모든 변수에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 다문화 청소년의 비행행동에 대한 관련 변인의 영향력 검증에서는 인구사회학적 특성의 성별과 자아존중감만 다문화 청소년의 비행행동에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구 결과를 반영하여 다문화 청소년 중학교 2학년 학생의 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 비행행동과 문화적응스트레스, 이중문화수용태도, 자아존중감의 차이와 다문화 청소년의 비행행동과 문화적응스트레스, 이중문화수용태도, 자아존중감과의 관련성에 대한 시사점을 제언하였다.

Objectives This study was conducted to determine whether there are differences in delinquent behavior, cultural adaptation stress, bicultural acceptance attitude, and self-esteem according to the socio-demographic characteristics of multicultural youth in the second year of middle school, and to determine what kind of relationship there is between the delinquent behavior of multicultural youth and cultural adaptation stress, bicultural acceptance attitude, and self-esteem, and to suggest practicalimplications based onthe results. Methods To this end, we utilized the fifth wave of data corresponding to second-year middle school students from the second wave of the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study (MAPS) collected by the Korea Youth Policy Institute. The collected data were analyzed for differences according to demographic characteristics and hierarchical regression analysis to verify the research questions of this study. Results The main analysis results according to the research question are as follows. First, in terms of gender, statistically significant differences were found in male students' delinquent behavior and self-esteem, and in terms of female students' attitude toward bicultural acceptance. In terms of regional scale, only cultural adaptation stress and self-esteem showed statistically significant differences between regions, and whether the parents were foreigners did not show statistically significant differences in any variables. Second, in verifying the influence of related variables on the delinquent behavior of multicultural youth, only the demographic characteristics of gender and self-esteem were found to have a negative effect on the delinquent behavior of multicultural youth. Conclusions Based on the results of this study, implications were suggested for the differences in delinquent behavior, cultural adaptation stress, bicultural acceptance attitude, and self-esteem according to the socio-demographic characteristics of multicultural youth in the second year of middle school, and the relationship between delinquent behavior, cultural adaptation stress, bicultural acceptance attitude, and self-esteem of multicultural youth.
