Study on the Use of Teaching Media to Support Play in the 2019 Revised Nuri Curriculum

본 연구는 2019 개정 누리과정의 교수매체 활용에 대한 교사의 인식과 실천의 방식들을 살펴보고 이를 통해 자율성에 기반한 원활한 놀이지원과 교사들의 부담감을 덜어주기 위한 교수매체 활용에 대한 실질적인 방안을 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 직장 어린이집과 국공립 어린이집 유아반 교사 12명을 대상으로 교사들의 인식과 실제적인 실천 여부를 파악하기 위해 FGI를 비대면 줌(zoon)으로 실시하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 어린이집 유아반 교사의 대부분은 편리하고 접근성이 좋은 교수 매체로 시판되고 있는 교수매체, 자연물 순으로 인식하고 있었으며 비구조적 교수 매체에 대해 긍정적으로 평가하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 흥미를 지속·확장, 주제의 효율적인 전개, 공간의 특성과 연계성 등을 위해, 놀이에 적합한 교구가 없는 경우 교구를 제작하거나 놀이공간 확장과 다양한 자료들을 연계하여 융통성 있게 놀이 지원을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 2019 개정 누리과정 안에서 폭넓은 교수매체 활용 방안을 지원하기 위하여 어린이집, 교육 기관 학습공동체, 정부 기관 등의 실질적인 지원정책과 향후 디지털 교수매체에 대한 지원의 필요성을 알 수 있었다.

This study aims to examine teachers' perceptions and practices regarding the use of teaching media in the 2019 Revised Nuri Curriculum. Through this analysis, it proposes practical measures for using teaching media to facilitate smooth play support based on autonomy and reduce teachers' burdens. To achieve this, a Focus Group Interview (FGI) was conducted via Zoom with 12 teachers from workplace and public daycare centers to assess their perceptions and actual implementation. The findings revealed: First, most teachers perceived commercially available teaching materials and natural objects as convenient and accessible teaching tools, evaluating unstructured teaching materials positively. Second, to sustain and expand children's interest, efficiently develop themes, and connect with spatial characteristics, teachers flexibly supported play by creating teaching aids when suitable play materials were unavailable, expanding play spaces, and linking diverse resources. Finally, the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum Plan revealed the need for practical support policies from daycare centers, educational institution learning communities, and government agencies to support broad teaching material utilization, along with future support for digital teaching materials.
