교통사고 후 파킨슨병 증상이 발현된 환자에 대한 두개천골태반 약침을 포함한 단기 한방 복합 치료 1례: 후향적 증례 보고

A Case of Early Parkinson’s Disease Triggered by Traffic Accident Using Korean Medical Complex Treatment Including Dugaechungoltaeban Pharmacopuncture Therapy: A Retrospective Case Repor

Objectives The purpose of this study is to present a case of Parkinson’s disease triggered by a mild traffic accident and to inves-tigate the effect of complex Korean medicine treatment in a 48-year-old female patient. Methods The patient was treated with Dugaecheongoltaeban pharmacopuncture at GB12, GV20, GV22, GV24, EX-HN5, TE20, along with Korean medical complex treatment. Treatment progress was assessed using a tremor di-ary, the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS), and the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Pharmacopuncture treatment was performed once daily from Jan 20 to Feb 1, 2025. Results According to the tremor diary, tremor frequency temporarily decreased after treatment, but the UPDRS score, assessed at 7-day intervals, showed little change. The VAS score decreased from 9.4 to 6.7. Conclusions Under the current car insurance policy, traffic accident treatment is limited, preventing optimal management. Nevertheless, the results suggest Korean medicine treatment could be an option to alleviate acute Parkinson’s dis-ease symptoms triggered by traffic accident.
