Objectives This case report aimed to objectively evaluate the clinical effects of Mizuan pharmacopuncture on skin dryness and loss of elasticity. The study holds clinical significance in that it provides preliminary evidence supporting the cosmetic and therapeutic benefits of Mizuan pharmacopuncture as a potential skin booster. Notably, this therapy represents a novel application of traditional Korean pharmacopuncture techniques, extending their utility into the do-mains of skin anti-aging and regeneration. Methods Three patients presented with chief complaints related to skin aging, including dryness, decreased elas-ticity, wrinkles, and pigmentation. At baseline, all patients exhibited similar characteristics such as reduced skin moisture, increased pigmentation, and deepened wrinkles. Each patient was diagnosed with skin aging and de-creased skin elasticity. Treatment consisted of Mizuan pharmacopuncture (2 cc per session) administered once weekly for four weeks using a DermaShine injector (Huons Global Co., Ltd., Seongnam, Korea). All procedures were performed under identical environmental conditions according to a standardized protocol. Results Quantitative evaluation was conducted using a skin diagnostic device (Line-View, PSI Co., Ltd., Korea). After treatment, parameters related to skin elasticity, such as pore size and wrinkle index, showed improvement, along with a decrease in the red index. No clear changes were observed in pigmentation-related parameters, including skin tone, melanin, and brown index. Conclusions After four sessions of Mizuan pharmacopuncture, all patients exhibited improvements in several ob-jective skin parameters, particularly wrinkle index, pore size, and red index. Subjectively, patients reported relief from dryness and enhanced hydration. In particular, Case 3, who presented with facial erythema, showed a marked reduc-tion in redness and a substantial decrease in the red index. These findings may indicate that Mizuan pharmaco-puncture could serve as a therapeutic option for improving skin elasticity and reducing facial redness. Although lim-ited by the small sample size, this report provides preliminary clinical evidence supporting the potential anti-aging and skin-regenerative effects of Mizuan pharmacopuncture. Further large-scale randomized controlled trials and long-term follow-up studies are warranted to validate these findings.
