Analysis of Academic Trends Related to Physical Disabilities Using Book Classification

연구목적: 본 연구에서는 국내 지체장애 관련 발행 도서를 대상으로 분포 및 타 학문 분야와의 관련성을 살핌으로써 지체장애 관련 학문 동향을 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 국립중앙도서관과 국회도서관에 소장된 지체장애 관련 도서 자료의 서지 정보를 선정 기준에 따라 수집하고 정리하였다. 수집된 자료는 지체장애 관련 도서의 일반적 현황, 십진분류법에 따른 도서 현황, 지체장애 관련 도서의 대상 및. 주제별 현황으로 분석되었다. 연구결과: 첫째, 지체장애 관련도서는 1970년대 발행되기 시작하여 2010년대에 양적 증가추세를 나타내었다. 발행처로는 공공기관 발행 도서의 비중이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 십진분류법체계에서 지체장애 관련 도서는 사회과학과 기술과학분야에 주로 분포하고 있었다. 셋째, 지체장애 관련 도서의 대상 및 주제별 현황을 살펴보면, 지체장애, 뇌성마비, 중도중복장애, 발달장애의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 교육 주제별에서는 치료서비스가 가장 많았으며, 공학 주제별로는 보조공학에 대한 도서가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 지체장애 관련 도서의 발행 분포가 갖는 의의와 성격에 대하여 논하였다.

Purpose: This study aimed to explore academic trends related to physical disabilities by examining the distribution and relevance of domestically published books on physical disabilities to other academic fields. Method: Bibliographic data on books related to physical disabilities housed in the two National Library were collected and organized according to selection criteria. Results: First, books on physical disabilities began to be published in the 1970s and showed an explosive quantitative increase in the 2010s. Second, according to the decimal classification system, books on physical disabilities were primarily distributed in the social sciences and technology sciences. Third, examining the subjects and topics of books on physical disabilities, the most common topics were physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, sever and multiple disabilities, and developmental disabilities. Among education topics, therapeutic services were the most prevalent, and among engineering topics, assistive technology was the most prevalent. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the significance and characteristics of the distribution of publications related to physical disabilities were discussed.
