이 연구는 우즈베키스탄 한국어교육 현장에서 비원어민 교원의 역량을 분석하고, 효과적인 재교육 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 우즈베키스탄 대학에서 한국어를 가르치는 교원 30명을 대상으로 설문조사와 심층 인터뷰, 그리고 LDA 토픽모델링을 활용한 양적·질적 분석을 병행하였다. 연구 결과, 교원들은 전반적으로 수업 운영, 자기 관리 의지는 높으나, 발음·억양 지도 등 실천적 교수 역량에서 보완이 필요함이 확인되었다. 또한 5년 이상 경력 교원은 모든 영역에서 상대적으로 높은 역량을 보였으며, 특히 한국어교육학적 지식과 수업 운영 및 학습자 관리 역량에서 뚜렷한 차이를 나타냈다. 이에 본 연구는 ①발음, 문법 포함한 교수 기술의 실습 강화, ②경력, 숙련도별 맞춤형 연수, ③ AI 및 디지털 교수법 역량 개발, ④협력적 교육공동체 지원 및 지속가능한 전문성 개발 체계 마련을 제안하였다. 이 연구는 우즈베키스탄 한국어교육의 질적 발전과 교원 전문성 강화에 기초 자료로서 중요한 의의를 가진다.
This study examines the professional competencies of non-native Korean language teachers in Uzbekistan and identifies priority areas for teacher re-education in response to the growing demand for Korean language instruction. Employing a mixed-methods design, the research integrated survey data from 30 university-level instructors with in-depth interviews and LDA-based topic modeling. Quantitative results indicate that teachers generally rate themselves highly in classroom management and self-directed professional development, whereas practical instructional skills particularly pronunciation and intonation teaching emerge as areas requiring substantial reinforcement. Teachers with over five years of experience exhibited significantly higher competencies across all five domains, especially in pedagogical knowledge and learner management. Based on these findings, the study proposes (1) practice-oriented training in pronunciation and grammar instruction, (2) differentiated professional development programs tailored to teaching experience and proficiency, (3)capacity-building in AI-supported and digital pedagogies, and (4) the establishment of collaborative professional learning communities. The study contributes empirical evidence for strengthening teacher professionalism and advancing the quality and sustainability of Korean language education in Uzbekistan.
