3D 패션시뮬레이션을 통한 데님 소재의 업사이클링 패션상품디자인기획: UTTU CAD와 Z-weave 사용을 중심으로

Merchandising Design Planning for Upcycled Denim Fashion Products through 3D Fashion Simulation: Focusing on UTTU CAD and Z-Weave

본 연구는 3D 가상 피팅 프로그램 'z-weave'를 활용하여 지속 가능한 패션의 가능성을 확인하고, 데님 업사이클링 패션 디자인을 개발함으로써 패션 산업의 지속적인 환경 문제를 해결하는 데 기여하고자 한다. 본 연구는 'z-weave' 프로그램과 데님 소재의 특성을 조사 및 분석한 후, 이를 바탕으로 3D 가상 피팅 프로그램에서 구현 가능한 디자인을 설계 및 제작하였다. 이후 3D 가상착의 프로그램을 통한 디자인은 실제 디자인 작품과 비교·분석되었다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 첫째, 3D 가상 피팅 프로그램 'z-weave'는 기존 공정에 비해 더 편리하고 간소화된 샘플링 과정을 가능하게 하여 자원 사용을 줄일 수 있다. 둘째, 'z-weave'는 기존의 의류 제조 과정에서의 시간적, 공간적 제약을 완화할 수 있어, 효율적인 패션 디자인 제작을 가능하게 한다. 셋째, 버려진 데님 원단을 활용한 데님 업사이클링 패션은 의류 폐기물을 줄이고 제품 수명을 연장시켜, 지속 가능한 패션 디자인에 대한 새로운 기회를 제공한다. 'z-weave'는 업사이클링 패션에 사용되는 폐자원의 소재 구현 면에서 실제 작품에 비해 다소 부족한 점이 있지만, 향후 기술 발전을 기대할 수 있으며, 다양한 데님 소재를 활용한 업사이클링 패션 디자인의 가능성을 확인하였다.

The purpose is to utilize the 3D virtual fitting program 'z-weave' to confirm the potential of sustainable fashion and develop denim upcycling fashion designs in order to address the ongoing environmental issues in the fashion industry. This study involved designing and producing designs feasible for implementation in the 3D virtual fitting program 'z-weave' based on the investigation and analysis of characteristics of the 'z-weave' program and denim materials. These designs were then compared and analyzed against actual design works. The result of findings are: First, the 3D virtual fitting program 'z-weave' facilitates sampling in a more convenient and simplified manner, reducing the use of resources compared to conventional processes. Second, 'z-weave' can alleviate constraints of time and space, unlike traditional garment manufacturing processes, allowing for efficient fashion design production. Third, by using discarded denim fabric to create denim upcycling fashion, it reduces clothing waste and extends the product lifecycle, fostering expectations for sustainable fashion design. Research implications are 'z-weave' falls slightly short in the material implementation of waste resources used in upcycling fashion compared to actual works. We, however, anticipate further advancements in technology and have confirmed the potential of various upcycling fashion designs using denim materials.
