대퇴신경지각이상증 환자 한의복합치료 증례보고 1례: 자침수기법을 중심으로

A Case Report on Meralgia Paresthetica with Korean Medicine Treatment:Focused on Acupuncture Manipulation Techniques

Meralgia Paresthetica, a mononeuropathy of lateral femoral cutaneous nerve, is char-acterized by pain and paresthesia in the thigh. This case report presents a patient, presenting with pain and paresthesia in the right thigh, who was treated with a com-bination of acupuncture—utilizing acupuncture manipulation techniques from classi-cal Korean medicine texts—and other Korean medicine therapies. The patient con-currently received moxibustion, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, phar-macopuncture(bee venom, Hominis plancenta and Hwangryunhaedok), and herbal medicine. Following the treatment, the patient's pain score significantly decreased, and the patient reported subjective improvements in both pain and function. This case may serve as an example of how classical acupuncture manipulation techniques can be applied in modern Korean medicine practice.
