유아 쌓기놀이에 관한 키워드 네트워크 분석

Keyword Network Analysis on Block Play in Early Childhood Education

본 연구는 학술 논문의 주제어를 중심으로 키워드 네트워크 분석을 실시하여 유아 쌓기놀이연구의 흐름을 객관적으로 조망하고, 향후 연구 방향과 교육적 시사점을 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 국내 학술 논문 3,068건의 관련 자료를 수집하고, Excel과 UCINET을 활용하여 정제된 키워드의 빈도를 분석하였다. 정제된 상위 키워드 117개를 활용하여 네트워크의 기본 속성과 각 키워드의 중심성을 분석하였다. 학술 논문에서 주요 키워드로 확인된 ‘문제해결력’, ‘공간능력’, ‘사회성’, ‘창의성’ 및 2021~2022년에 집중적으로 확인된 ‘디지털 블록’을 대상으로 에고 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다. 분석에는 UCINET과 Gephi를 활용하였으며, 분석 결과를 바탕으로 네트워크를 시각화하였다. 빈도 분석 결과 ‘문제해결력’, ‘공간능력’, ‘사회성’, ‘쌓기놀이질’, ‘창의성’ 순으로 높게 나타났다. 연결중심성, 근접중심성, 매개중심성을 분석한 결과, 각 중심성 지표의 상위 3위 내에 ‘문제해결력’, ‘공간능력’, ‘사회성’이 포함되어 있었다. 또한 에고 네트워크 분석을 통해 각 핵심 키워드가 주변 개념과 맺는 연결의 밀도와 네트워크 내에서 중심 또는 주변에 위치하는 구조적 특성이 확인되었다. 본 연구 결과는 유아 쌓기놀이가 유아교육 현장에서 지니는 교육적 가치를 재조명하는 데 기여하고자 한다.

This study aims to objectively examine the research trends in block play for young children by conducting a keyword network analysis based on the subject terms of academic articles, and to provide future research directions and educational implications. To achieve this, a total of 3,068 relevant domestic academic articles were collected. The frequency of refined keywords was analyzed using Excel and UCINET. The top 117 refined keywords were used to analyze the basic properties of the network and the centrality of each keyword. Ego network analysis was conducted for the major keywords identified in the academic papers: problem-solving ability, spatial ability, social skills, creativity, and digital blocks, which emerged prominently in 2021–2022. The tools used for analysis were UCINET and Gephi. Based on the results, the networks were visualized using Gephi. The frequency analysis showed that problem-solving ability, spatial ability, social skills, quality of block play, and creativity ranked highest. Analysis of degree centrality, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality revealed that problem-solving ability, spatial ability, and social skills were consistently among the top three keywords. Through ego network analysis, the density of connections between each core keyword and surrounding concepts, as well as their structural positions (central or peripheral) within the network, were identified. The results of this study aim to provide a foundation for re-evaluating the educational value of block play in early childhood education.
