This paper explores the influence of storytelling on human life and how narrative re-authoring can facilitate healing and wholeness. Creating a cohesive life story is essential for successful identity integration, as our internal narratives continuously blend past, present, and future experiences, often through moments of insight and reinterpretation. Life events gain or lose significance based on their impact on our narrative. In therapeutic contexts, storytelling helps individuals become authors of their lives, fostering awareness of meaningful life themes and supporting psychological healing. The process of narrative re-authoring allows individuals to reframe life events, find meaning in chaos, and achieve identity integration, ultimately contributing to a more resilient and fulfilled life. The paper investigates how retelling and reshaping these stories, especially through literature such as When You Trap a Tiger and Walk Two Moons, promotes human wholeness and healing.
