God, Human and Artificial Intelligence: Theological Anthropology in the Age of AI

본 논문은 인공지능의 등장이 신학적 인간학에 제기하는 근본적 질문을 지능, 몸, 창조라는 세 영역을 중심으로 탐구한다. 먼저 지능의 영역에서는 인간 지능과 인공지능의 구조적 차이를 분석하고, 디지털 지능이 새로운 존재론적 조건 속에서 작동하는 방식을 고찰한다. 몸의 영역에서는 탈육체적인 인공지능의 한계를 비판하며, 감각·판단·행위를 통합하는 신체성이 지능의 본질적 기반임을 논의한다. 창조의 영역에서는 생성형 인공지능의 자기학습과 자기개선 능력이 전통적 창조론의 위계에 제기하는 도전을 분석하고, 신·인간·인공의 관계를 다층적이고 상호작용적인 창조의 관점에서 재해석한다. 이러한 논의를 통해 본 논문은 인공지능 시대에 인간 존재를 신학적으로 재사유할 새로운 인간학적 지평을 제시하고, 기술문명 속에서 인간의 존엄성과 책임윤리를 재정식화할 신학적 과제를 도출한다.

This study explores the fundamental questions that the emergence of artificial intelligence raises for theological anthropology across three key dimensions: intelligence, body, and creation. First, in the dimension of intelligence, it analyzes the structural differences between human and artificial intelligence and examines how digital intelligence operates within new ontological conditions. In the discussion of the body, it critiques the limitations of disembodied (or post-embodied) artificial intelligence and argues that embodiment integrating sensation, judgment, and action constitutes the essential foundation of intelligence. In the dimension of creation, it investigates how the self-learning and self-improving capacities of generative AI reconfigure the traditional hierarchy of creation, reinterpreting the relationship among God, humanity, and the artificial from a multilayered and interactive perspective. Through these analyses, the study seeks to explore a new horizon of human existence and theological anthropology in the age of AI and to propose theological tasks aimed at restoring human dignity and ethical responsibility within technological civilization.
