Objectives: This study examined examine the association between physical activity, particularly aerobic and walking exercise, and oral health among individuals with cardiovascular disease. Methods: Using data from the 8th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, a total of 5,145 participants were complex sampling analyzed. Differences in oral health-related characteristics according to physical activity were examined using complex sample chi-square tests and linear regression analyses. The effects of aerobic physical activity practice and weekly walking days on oral health-related characteristics were assessed using complex sample logistic and linear regression analyses. Model 1 was unadjusted, and Model 2 was adjusted for sociodemographic factors. Model fit was evaluated using Cox & Snell R² for logistic regression and R² for linear regression. Results: The group that engaged in aerobic physical activity and walking exercise showed higher levels of participation in dental check-ups during the past year, frequency of toothbrushing, use of oral hygiene products, and self-perceived oral health status, while reporting fewer problems with chewing and speaking (p<0.05). Conclusions: Aerobic and walking exercises influence the oral health of individuals with cardiovascular disease. Therefore, physical activity may help improve oral health behaviors and functions in this population.
