2022 개정 교육과정에 따른 문학 교과서의 현대소설 제재 분석 - 2009~2015 문학 교과서와의 비교를 중심으로

An Analysis of Modern Fiction Texts in Literature Textbooks under the 2022 Revised Curriculum : Focusing on a Comparison with the 2009~2015 Textbooks

본 연구는 2022 개정 국어과 교육과정에 따라 새로 개발⋅보급된 7종 문학 교과서를 대상으로 현대소설 제재의 수록 양상을 분석하였다. 교육과정 성취기준과 교과서 편찬상의 유의점을 검토한 뒤, 교과서에 수록된 현대소설(총 68편)을 작품별, 작가별, 발표 연대별, 길이 유형별, 시점⋅서술 유형별 등 여러 기준으로 지난 2009~2015 문학 교과서의 현대소설 수록 양상과 비교하였다. 분석 결과, (1) 전체 수록 편수가 이전 문학 교과서보다 많이 감소하였고, (2) 2000년대 이후의 최근 작품의 비중이 증가했으며, (3) 외국 문학과 장편의 비중은 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 교과서 개발 시 고려해야 할 개선 과제로 (1) 현대소설 제재의 비중을 현재보다 더 높여야 하며, (2) QR이나 출판사 누리집 등 다양한 기술적 보조장치를 통해 분량상의 제약과 매체 구현상의 한계를 극복해야 하고, (3) 다양한 시점과 서술의 양상을 보여 주는 작품이 수록되어야 한다고 제안하였다.

This study analyzes the inclusion patterns of modern fiction texts in seven newly developed literature textbooks based on the 2022 Revised Korean Language Curriculum. After examining the achievement standards of the curriculum and the editorial considerations of textbook compilation, 68 modern fiction works included in the textbooks were compared with those in the 2009~2015 literature textbooks, using criteria such as author, year of publication, text length, and narrative perspective and narration. The analysis revealed that (1) the total number of included works decreased compared to previous textbooks, (2) the proportion of more recent works published after the 2000s increased, and (3) the presence of foreign literature and excerpts from full-length novels declined. Based on these findings, the study proposes the following improvements for future textbook development: (1) increasing the proportion of modern fiction selections, (2) overcoming constraints of length and medium representation through various technological supports such as QR codes and publisher websites, and (3) including works that demonstrate a wider range of narrative perspectives and techniques.
