가장 한국적인 것이 가장 세계적이라는 말이 있다. 한국은 남북한이 분단이 된 특수한 지정학적 현실에 놓여 있다. 현재로서는 분단이 되어 있지만 향후 한국이 강한 국가로 성장하고 국제적인 환경에 있어서도 한국에게 우호적인 환경을 만드는 것이 필요하기 때문에 통일공공외교를 통하여 한국에게 유리한 환경을 조성하는 것이 중요하다. 통일공공외교를 추진하는 것은 한국이 통일 국가가 되는 데 지지를 이끌어낼 수 있게 하기 때문에 필요하다. 한국이 통일공공외교를 강화하는 것은 첫째, 내부적으로 한국인 스스로에게 자부심과 긍지를 심어줄 수 있다. 한국에 대해서 스스로 긍정적인 이미지를 갖음으로 인하여 개인적으로 성장할 수 있게 한다. 둘째, 외부적으로 한국이 통일을 해야 하는 것에 대하여 이해를 확대하고 한국 주도적으로 긍정적인 영향을 확대할 수 있다. 한국이 통일공공외교를 확대하여 내부적 그리고 외부적으로 성장하는 것이 필요하다.

There is a saying that the most Korean thing is the most global. South Korea is in a special geopolitical situation where the two Koreas are divided. Although it is currently divided, it is important to create a favorable environment for Korea through unification public diplomacy because South Korea needs to grow into a strong nation and foster a favorable international environment for itself. Promoting unification public diplomacy is necessary because it can garner support for Korea to become a unified nation. First, South Korea's strengthening of unification public diplomacy can instill pride and self-esteem in Koreans internally. It can help them grow personally by having a positive image of Korea. Second, South Korea can expand understanding of why unification is necessary externally and expand positive influences led by South Korea. South Korea needs to expand unification public diplomacy to grow internally and externally.
