Purpose - This study empirically analyzes how the language and cultural adaptation of Chinese students studying in Korea influence their intention to seek employment in Korean companies. Specifically, it examines how individual ability factors Korean language proficiency, English language proficiency, and cultural intelligence affect job-seeking intention, and explores how external opportunities provided by companies and students’ study-abroad motivations moderate these relationships. Design/Methodology/Approach - Based on the AMO model and signaling theory, the research model was developed, and a survey was conducted with 315 Chinese international students in Korea. The collected data were then analyzed. Findings - The results show that language proficiency and cultural intelligence have a significant positive effect on job-seeking intention. In addition, external opportunities and study-abroad motivation exhibit moderating effects on some variables. Research Implications - This study provides practical implications for Korean companies’ global talent acquisition strategies and employment support measures for international students. It also emphasizes the need for a customized approach that considers individuals’ abilities and motivations from the perspective of multicultural talent management.
