제주–칭다오 직항로 개설에 따른 제주 특산물의 대중 수출전략에 관한 연구

A Study on Export Strategies for Jeju Specialty Products to China Following the Opening of the Jeju–Qingdao Direct Route

본 연구는 제주–칭다오 직항 화물항로 개설을 계기로, 변화된 물류환경이 제주 특산물의 대중(對中) 수출 구조에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 분석하고 향후 수출전략의 방향성을 제시하고자 한다. 그동안 제주의 대중 수출은 부산·인천 환적에 의존하는 구조적 제약으로 인해 운송시간 장기화, 냉장·냉동 체계의 불안정성, 공급망 예측성 부족 등의 문제를 안고 있었다. 직항로 개설은 이러한 제한을 완화시키고 제주산 제품이 보다 안정적이고 신속하게 중국 시장에 접근할 수 있는 기반을 마련하였다는 점에서 중요한 정책적·산업적 의미를 지닌다. 이에 본 연구는 직항로 개설이 제주 특산물의 물류·유통·시장 접근성에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 파악하기 위해 SWOT 분석, PEST 분석, 가치사슬·공급망 분석을 통합적으로 적용하였다. 분석을 통해 제주 특산물이 보유한 산지 브랜드 가치와 청정 이미지, 변화하는 중국 소비 트렌드, 직항로 기반의 물류 효율성 제고 등 주요 요인들이 상호작용하며 새로운 수출환경을 형성하고 있음을 확인하였다. 아울러 제주의 수출경쟁력 강화를 위해서는 산지–항만 연계 체계 정비, 상품 구조 다변화, 온·오프라인 유통전략 고도화, 제도적 지원 확충 등이 필요함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 제주–칭다오 직항로가 지역 해양물류체계와 대중 수출구조에 가져오는 변화를 이론적으로 정리하고 전략적 시사점을 제시함으로써, 향후 정책 설계와 기업 실무에 유용한 기초자료를 제공한다.

This study examines the impact of the newly established Jeju–Qingdao direct cargo route on the export environment of Jeju specialty products to China, and proposes strategies to strengthen export competitiveness. The findings show that the direct route improves logistical efficiency by reducing transit time, stabilizing cold-chain operations, and enhancing supply chain predictability, thereby expanding Jeju’s access to northern China’s markets. Using an integrated framework combining SWOT, PEST, and value chain/supply chain analysis, this study identifies key internal and external factors shaping Jeju’s export performance under the new logistics structure. Results indicate that the route creates favorable conditions for market expansion and supports flexible, small-lot supply models suited to cross-border E-commerce. However, constraints such as limited port infrastructure, weak SME export capacity, and regulatory uncertainties remain. Based on these insights, the study proposes strategic directions including value-chain upgrading, diversified market and channel development, flexible supply chain restructuring, and institutional support for capacity enhancement. These findings offer practical implications for advancing Jeju’s export competitiveness and regional marine logistics.
