물류기업 ESG활동과 공급사슬성과의 관계에서 ESG워싱의 조절효과

Moderating Effect of ESG Washing on the Relationship between ESG Activities and Supply Chain Performance in Logistics Firm

본 논문에서는 선행연구 검토를 통하여 물류기업 경쟁력 강화수단으로 활용되는 ESG워싱 구성요소를 개발하고 물류기업의 ESG 활동과 공급사슬성과의 관계에서 ESG워싱의 조절효과를 분석하였다. 연구방법은 수집된 1차자료에 대한 내적일관성 분석과 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 이후 변수들 간의 상관관계를 분석하였으며 물류기업의 ESG 활동과 공급사슬성과의 관계에서 ESG워싱의 영향력을 확인하기 위하여 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 물류기업의 ESG활동과 공급사슬성과의 관계에서 ESG워싱은 부정적인 조절효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 물류기업들은 보다 투명한 ESG활동과 경영성과를 공유하여야 할 것이다.

This study developed a measure of ESG washing through review of existing researches to suggest ways to enhance service competitiveness in logistics sector and analyzed the moderating effect of ESG washing on the relationship between ESG activity and supply chain performance. As an analysis method, the factor and reliability analysis were conducted using the data collected from the survey. Next, a correlation analysis was conducted to analyze the relationship between variables and a regression analysis was performed to check the impact of logistics service provider ESG washing on the relationship between ESG activities and supply chain performance. The study found that ESG washing had a negative moderating effect on the relationship between ESG activities and supply chain performance. Therefore, logistics companies should disclose their ESG activities and outcomes in a more transparent manner.
