‘수도회의 카리스마적 정체성’으로 이해되는 ‘수도회의 카리스마’

The Charism of the Religious Institute Understood as the Charismatic Identity of the Institute

교회의 쇄신과 적응, 그리고 신학의 발전에 공헌한 제2차 바티칸 공의회의 영향 아래, 교회는 축성 생활의 카리스마적 측면을 더 잘 이해했고, 카리스마라는 용어를 축성 생활에도 적용하기 시작했다. 공의회는 축성 생활이라는 신분 자체의 본성을 정의하기 위해 카리스마라는 용어를 사용하지는 않았지만, 공의회의 새로운 교회론적 전망은 축성 생활의 카리스마적 현실에 관한 숙고에 하나의 길을 열어 주었다. 그래서 ‘축성 생활의 카리스마’, ‘설립자의 카리스마’, 그리고 ‘수도회의 카리스마’와 같은 표현들이 나오게 되었다. 이것은 교회가 카리스마의 용어학에만 머무르지 않고 성령에 의해 주어진 수많은 카리스마들이 교회 안에 존재하는 현실을 주의 깊게 들여다본다는 사실을 우리에게 보여 준다. 다른 한편으로, 이러한 표현들의 본질적인 목적이 교회 안에서 실현될 수 있도록 이 표현들의 의미를 잘 이해하는 것이 필요하다. 이러한 이유로, 이 논문에서는 다음과 같은 세 가지 핵심어 -‘축성 생활의 카리스마’, ‘설립자의 카리스마’, 그리고 ‘수도회의 카리스마’- 로 축성 생활 안에서의 카리스마에 대해서 다룰 것이다. 그리고 특별히 수도회의 카리스마에 관한 다양한 정의를 검토하여 수도회의 카리스마란 수도회의 카리스마적 정체성이라는 새로운 정의를 제안하고자 한다.

Under the influence of the Second Vatican Council, which contributed to the updating and renewal of the Church and also to the development of theology, the Church has better perceived the charismatic aspect of consecrated life and has begun to apply the word charism to it. The Council did not use the term to define the nature of such a life status itself, but its new ecclesiological vision opened a way to reflect on the charismatic reality of consecrated life. And thus expressions such as the charism of consecrated life, the charism of the founder and the charism of the religious Institute came began to be employed. On the one hand, this shows us that the Church does not stop only at the terminology of the charism, but looks carefully at her own reality, in which the numerous charisms granted by the Holy Spirit exist. On the other hand, it is necessary to understand the meaning of these expressions properly, so that their existential goals can be realized in the Church. For these reasons, this paper will deal with charisms in consecrated life using three key terms: ‘the charism of consecrated life’, ‘the charism of the founder’ and ‘the charism of the religious Institute’. In particular, examining the various definitions concerning the charism of the Institute, I propose a new definition: the charism of the religious Institute understood as the charismatic identity of the Institute.
