일반긴장이론 관점에서 본 다문화 청소년의 사이버 비행 - 사회적 고립과 교사 지지의 조절된 매개효과

Cyber Delinquency among Multicultural Adolescents from a General Strain Theory : The Moderated Mediation Effect of Social Isolation and Teacher Support

본 연구는 일반긴장이론의 관점에서 다문화 청소년이 경험하는 문화적응스트레스를 긴장요인으로 정의하고, 이러한 스트레스가 사회적 고립을 매개로 사이버 비행에 이르는 과정을 검증하고자 한다. 특히, 사회적 고립과 사이버 비행 간의 관계에서 교사 지지가 갖는 조절효과를 분석함으로써, 다문화 청소년의 비행을 단순한 개인의 일탈적 성향의 결과가 아닌 긴장과 대인관계 요인이 작용한 결과로 해석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 다문화청소년패널조사(MAPS) 2기 5차년도 자료를 활용하였다. 분석 모형은 문화적응스트레스(독립변수)가 사회적 고립(매개변수)을 통해 사이버 비행(종속변수)으로 이어지는 매개경로와 그 경로를 교사 지지(조절변수)가 조절하는 구조를 설계하였다. 분석 결과, 문화적응스트레스는 사회적 고립을 유의하게 증가시키고, 사회적 고립은 다문화 청소년의 사이버 비행 가능성을 높이는 것으로 나타나 매개효과가 유의미하였다. 그리고 교사 지지는 사회적 고립과 사이버 비행 간의 정적 관계를 약화시키는 것으로 나타나 조절된 매개효과가 존재함을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 문화적응스트레스 완화와 사회적 고립 감소, 교사 지지 강화를 결합한 학교 기반 예방정책의 필요성을 제기한다.

This study defines the acculturative stress experienced by multicultural adolescents as a strain factor within the framework of general strain theory (GST) and examines the process through which this stress leads to cyber delinquency via social isolation. In particular, by analyzing the moderating effect of teacher support on the relationship between social isolation and cyber delinquency, the study seeks to interpret the delinquent behavior of multicultural adolescents not as a simple outcome of individual deviant propensity, but as the result of the combined influence of strain and interpersonal factors. This study used data from the second-wave, fifth-year Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study (MAPS) conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute.. The analytical model specifies a mediating pathway in which acculturative stress (independent variable) leads to cyber delinquency (dependent variable) through social isolation (mediator), and a moderated pathway in which teacher support (moderator) conditions this mediating process. The results indicate that acculturative stress significantly increases social isolation, and that social isolation, in turn, heightens the likelihood of cyber delinquency among multicultural adolescents, demonstrating a significant mediating effect. Furthermore, teacher support was found to attenuate the positive association between social isolation and cyber delinquency, thereby confirming the presence of a moderated mediation effect. These findings highlight the importance of school-based prevention policies that reduce acculturative stress, alleviate social isolation, and strengthen teacher support.
