교육공급자와 수요자 인식을 종합한 해양교육과정 개선에 관한 연구 - 목포분원 사례를 중심으로

A Study on the Improvement of Maritime Education Curriculum through the Analysis of Provider and Consumer Perceptions : Focusing on the Mokpo Branch Case

본 연구는 해양교육과정의 실효성을 높이기 위하여 한국해양수산연수원 목포분원을 대상으로 교육공급자와 교육수요자의 인식을 종합적으로 분석하고, 이를 기반으로 교육과정 개선 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 목포분원 소속 전문가 집단을 대상으로 총 3차에 걸친 브레인스토밍을 시행하여 현행 교육 운영의 문제점과 개선 필요 요인을 도출하였다. 2025년 목포분원 교육과정을 이수한 교육생을 대상으로 개방형 설문조사를 실시하고, 응답 내용을 텍스트 마이닝과 빈도 분석을 통해 분석함으로써 교육만족도와 구체적인 개선 요구사항을 파악하였다. 본 연구는 지역 거점 해양교육기관 분원의 사례를 통해 해양교육과정 개선의 실천적 방향을 제안하여 향후 유사 기관의 교육 품질 제고와 교육수요자 만족도 향상에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study aims to enhance the effectiveness of the maritime education curriculum by comparing the perceptions of education provider and learner at the Mokpo Branch of the Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology (KIMFT). To this end, three rounds of brainstorming were conducted with experts affiliated with the Mokpo Branch to identify operational challenges and areas for improvement. In addition, an open-ended survey was administered to trainees who completed the curriculum in 2025. Their responses were analyzed using text mining and frequency analysis of meaningful nouns to identify educational satisfaction and specific needs. Based on these findings, this study suggests practical directions for improving the maritime education curriculum, thereby contributing to the enhancement of educational quality and participant satisfaction.
