빅카인즈를 활용한 데이트 폭력 관련 국내 언론보도 분석

Analysis of Domestic News Coverage on Dating Violence Using Bigkinds

본 연구는 2020년부터 2024년까지 국내 언론에 보도된 데이트 폭력 관련 기사에 대해 개체명 기반 네트워크 분석을 수행하여 핵심 개념 간의 연결 구조와 언론의 보도 경향을 파악하고자 하였다. 빅카인즈(BigKinds)에서 정확도 상위 44건의 기사를 선정하고, 형태소 분석을 통해 명사구를 추출한 뒤 개체명 인식(NER) 알고리즘을 적용하여 주요 개체명을 식별하였다. 이후 개체명 간 동시 출현 빈도에 기반한 가중 네트워크를 구성하여 중심성 분석을 실시하였다. 중심 노드는 ‘데이트’, ‘데이트 폭력’, ‘경찰청’으로 나타나, 데이트 폭력이 주로 형사사법 중심으로 보도됨을 확인하였다. 또한 ‘피해자’, ‘여자친구’, ‘경찰’, ‘체포’ 등 가해–피해 관련 사건 중심 키워드의 중심성이 높게 나타났다. 반면 보건학적, 심리적, 회복 관점은 상대적으로 미흡하게 다루어졌다. 본 연구 결과는 데이트 폭력이 단순한 범죄 문제가 아니라 사회·보건학적 관점에서 재정의될 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

This study examined how South Korean news media framed dating violence between 2020 and 2024 using BigKinds data. A total of 44 high-accuracy articles were analyzed through morphological processing and Named Entity Recognition, and a weighted co-occurrence network was constructed. The network contained 44 nodes across persons, locations, institutions, and general keywords. Central nodes such as ‘dating’, ‘relationship violence’, and the ‘Korean National Police Agency’ indicated a dominant criminal justice–centered framing. High centrality of terms like ‘victim’, ‘girlfriend’, ‘police’, and ‘arrest’ further emphasized event-focused and legal narratives. Public health, psychological, and recovery-oriented perspectives were relatively underrepresented. The findings highlight the need for a broader, multidisciplinary approach to dating violence. These insights underscore the importance of reframing dating violence as both a social and public health issue rather than solely a criminal matter.
