대전 흑석동산성의 구조와 기능 - 발굴 조사 성과를 중심으로

Structure and function of The Daejeon Heukseokdong Fortress

대전 흑석동산성은 백제 산성의 축성 구조를 뚜렷하게 파악할 수 있 는 산성이라 할 수 있다. 산성은 유사시를 대비한 방어시설로 오랜 기 간 사용되거나 전쟁으로 인한 훼손으로 초축 당시 원형을 파악하기가 어렵다. 하지만 흑석동산성은 백제 단일 시기 사용 및 폐기된 것으로 확인되며, 비교적 잔존 상태가 양호하여 산성의 구체적인 원형과 축성 시기를 가늠할 수 있다. 흑석동산성 문지는 개거식 구조로서 백제 산성 문지의 입지와 구조를 그대로 반영하였다. 성벽은 기저부 조성 및 성돌 치석 방식, 체성 축성 구조(판축과 석축) 등에서 일반적인 백제 산성의 특징을 보인다. 또한, 성내에서 출토된 간지 명문와 내용으로 볼 때 흑석동산성은 주변에서 조사된 금산 백령성과 비슷한 6세기 말엽에는 이미 축성되어 사용되었 음을 알 수 있다. 흑석동산성은 대전 일원에 산성 분포를 보았을 때 남서쪽 끝부분에 있으며, 주변 5㎞ 반경으로 다른 산성은 위치하지 않는다. 산성 입지와 고문헌에 확인된 전쟁에 관한 기록으로 볼 때 지정학적으로 매우 중요 한 역할을 하였다. 그리하여 6세기 중엽 이후 신라와 치열한 전투에서 대신라 방비 및 전쟁에 필요한 교두보 확보를 위하여 축성된 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이처럼 흑석동산성은 잔존 상태가 양호한 보기 드문 유적이다. 무엇 보다 초축 이후 짧은 기간 사용되었다는 점에서 원형 그대로를 보여주 는 자료이며, 고대 산성이 구조와 기능 및 축성 시기 연구에 보탬이 되 는 중요한 자료를 제공한다고 할 수 있다. 앞으로 흑석동산성에 대한 추가적인 조사와 연구를 통해 아직 밝혀지지 않은 고대 산성과 역사적 사건을 알릴 수 있는 계기가 되기를 바란다.

The Daejeon Heukseokdong Fortress is a site that clearly shows the storage structure of the Baekje site. The sites were used for a long time as defense facilities in preparation for emergencies, and it is difficult to determine their shape at the time of their collapse due to damage caused by war. However, Heukseokdong Fortress has been confirmed to have been used and discarded during a single period in Baekje, and is in relatively good condition, making it possible to determine the specific shape of the site and the period of its storage. Heukseokdong Fotress Gate is an open-style structure that reflects the location and structure of the Baekje Mountain Gate. The walls show typical Baekje characteristics, such as foundation composition, stone-like structure, and stone-like structure (slabs and stone axes). Also, the Chinese characters and their contents unearthed within the fortress indicate that Heukseokdong Fortress was built and used at the end of the 6th century, similar to Geumsan Baeknyeongseong Fortress, which was discovered nearby. Heukseokdong Fortress is located in the southwestern edge of Daejeon, and there are no other forts within a 5㎞ radius of it. Considering its location on the fort and records of wars found in ancient documents, it is believed to have played a very important role geopolitically. Therefore, it is believed to have been built to secure a bridgehead for defense and warfare during the fierce battles with Silla from the mid-6th century onwards. Thus, Heukseokdong Fortress is a rare site that is in good condition. Above all, it is a material that remains circular because it was used for a short period of time after collapse, and it can be said to provide important material that will be the focus of research into the structure, function, and storage period of ancient copper mines. We hope that further investigation and research on the Heukseokdong Fortress will provide an opportunity to learn about ancient copper mines and historical events that have not yet been revealed.
