몽골지역연구 제11권 제1호.png

This study examines dress culture and cultural interaction between Goryeo and the Mongols, focusing on textile exchange between Goryeo and the Mongol Empire as recorded in Goryeo historical sources. It outlines key characteristics of Goryeo dress and textile culture based on the preface to the Yeobokji of the Goryeosa, and reviews textile types that developed through techniques and styles introduced via interactions with neighboring states. The study then analyzes records of Ramie, leather, and silk found in the Goryeosa and the GoryeosaJeolyo, noting that textile transactions occurred mainly through semi-compulsory official trade and private trade. Finally, it argues that discussions of dress culture interaction should extend beyond bilateral Goryeo–Mongol relations to include surrounding states and ethnic groups, including China.
