대학생 대상 ‘대한민국임시정부’ 융합교양 강좌의 교육적 효과 분석

Educational Effectiveness of Interdisciplinary G.E. Course ‘Provisional Government of Korea’

최근 대한민국임시정부에 대한 사회적 관심이 고조되고 있으나, 대학생을 대상으로 한 교양교육은 여전히 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 역사와 윤리를 결합한 융합 교양강좌 <대한민국임시정부와시민윤리>의 운영 사례를 통해 그 교육적 효과를 실증적으로 규명하고, 향후 대학 교양교육의 내실화를 위한 발전적 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2025학년도 2학기 충북 소재 A대학 수강생 을 대상으로 사전·사후 설문조사와 자유기술식 응답에 대한 분석을 실시해 강좌의 교육적 효과성을 논의하였다. 분석 결과, 본 강좌는 학습자의 임시정부에 대한 인식, 시민성 참여 역량 및 보훈 의식 전반에 걸쳐 유의미한 향상을 거둔 것으로 나타났다. 이는 역사와 윤리를 융합한 교수 설계와 특강 및 현장 답사 등의 체험 중심교수법이 임시정부 교육의 실효성을 견인하는 기제로 작동했음을 시사한다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같이 제언한다. 첫째, 임시정부 교육의 외연 확장을 위해 인문·사회과학 전반을 아우르는 입체적·융복합적 교육과정의 수립이 필요하다. 둘째, 성인 학습자의 인지적 특성을 고려한 심화된 임시정부 교육 자료의 개발이 시급하다. 셋째, 학습자가 지역의 독립운동사를 체감할 수 있는 지역형 임시정부 교육 모델이 요구된다. 넷째, 임시정부 교양교육의 지속성을 담보하기 위해 유관 기관의 지속적인 행정적·재정적 지원이 뒷받침되어야 한다. 마지막으로, 임시정부 교육에 관한 다각적인 후속 연구가 지속되어야 한다.

Interest in the Provisional Government of Korea has risen recently, but university general education on the topic remains lacking. This study examines the educational effectiveness of the course ‘Provisional Government of Korea and Civic Ethics’ through a pre- and post-survey of students at a university in Chungbuk. The results show significant improvements in students’ understanding of the Provisional Government, civic participation, and patriotism. The integration of history and ethics, along with experiential learning methods, were key to this success. The study suggests: 1) an interdisciplinary curriculum spanning humanities and social sciences, 2) development of advanced materials tailored for adult learners, 3) a regional education model connected to local independence movement history, 4) continued administrative and financial support, and 5) ongoing follow-up research on Provisional Government education.
