심리운동 활동이 자폐스펙트럼장애 아동의인지능력에 미치는 효과

The Effects of Psychomotorik Activities on the Cognitive Abilities of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

이 연구의 목적은 심리운동 활동이 자폐스펙트럼장애(ASD) 아동의 인지능력에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 데 있다. 이를 위해 사례연구 설계를 적용하였으며, ASD 아동의 인지능력 향상에 효과적인 심리운동 활동으로 중재를 구성하였다. 연구 대상은 ASD 아동 3명으로, 주 2회 회기당 40분씩 총 12회기의 심리운동 활동을 실시하였다. 연구 효과를 검증하기 위해 사전·사후에 KABC-Ⅱ(Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children, Second Edition) 검사를 실시하였으며, 사례별 행동 변화와 반응의 질적 특성을 파악하기 위해 관찰기록과 학부모 면담 자료를 함께 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, KABC-Ⅱ 검사에서 모든 아동의 인지능력 점수가 전반적으로 상승한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 관찰기록 분석 결과 과제 지속시간 증가, 자발적 탐색 행동의 확대, 규칙 이해 및 전략 사용 빈도 증가 등 긍정적인 행동 변화가 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 심리운동 활동이 ASD 아동의 인지능력에 일정한 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 본 연구는 ASD 아동의 인지능력 발달을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of Psychomotorik activities on the cognitive abilities of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). To evaluate their effectiveness, a case study was conducted using activities adapted from an existing Psychomotorik program to align with the cognitive developmental needs of children with ASD. Three children with ASD participated in the intervention, attending two 40-minute sessions per week for a total of 12 sessions. Pre- and post-assessments were conducted using the KABC-II (Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children, Second Edition), and qualitative data were gathered through observational records and parent interviews to examine behavioral changes and responses for each case. All participants showed overall improvements in their cognitive ability scores on the KABC-II. Additionally, analysis of the observational data revealed positive behavioral changes, including longer task engagement, increased voluntary exploration, enhanced understanding of rules, and more frequent use of cognitive strategies. These findings suggest that the Psychomotorik activities had a positive impact on the cognitive development of children with ASD. The results of this study may serve as foundational data for the design of future interventions aimed at supporting the cognitive growth of children with ASD.
