아시안게임 공식 종목 채택에 따른 e스포츠 공적 인정 인식이 지속의도에 미치는 영향: 계획행동이론의 적용

The Impact of Perceived Public Recognition Following Esports’ Inclusion in the Asian Games on Continuance Intention: An Application of the Theory of Planned Behavior

본 연구는 아시안게임 공식 종목 채택 이후 형성된 e스포츠의 공적 인정 인식이 지속참여의도에 미치는 영향을 계획된행동이론(TPB)을 기반으로 분석하였다. 연구 대상은 e스포츠 플레이 경험이 있는 성인 355명이었으며 자료 분석은구조방정식모형(SEM)을 활용하여 수행하였다. 분석 결과 공적 인정 인식은 태도, 주관적 규범, 지각된 행동통제에모두 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 태도와 주관적 규범은 지속참여의도에 유의한 영향을 미치지않았으며, 지각된 행동통제만이 지속참여의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 e스포츠 참여가 사회적 인식이나 긍정적 태도보다 실제 수행 가능성에 대한 인식에 의해 더 크게 결정됨을 의미한다. 또한 아시안게임을통한 제도적 인정이 e스포츠의 사회적 정당성 형성에 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있음을 보여준다. 본 연구는 계획된행동이론에 공적 인정 인식을 적용하여 e스포츠 참여 행동을 설명하였다는 점에서 학문적 의의가 있으며, e스포츠활성화를 위해 참여자의 행동통제를 높일 수 있는 환경적·제도적 지원이 필요함을 시사한다.

This study examines the effect of perceived public recognition, following esports’ inclusion in the Asian Games, on continuance intention based on the Theory of Planned Behavior. Data were collected from 355 esports players and analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results show that perceived public recognition significantly influences attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control, while only perceived behavioral control significantly affects continuance intention. These findings indicate that continuance intention in esports is determined more by perceived behavioral control than by social recognition.
