A Study on Neuralink and Ethics of the Other in the Age of AGI

본 연구는 Elon Musk가 추진하는 글로벌 초고속 통신망 뉴럴링크와 Emmanuel Levinas의 감성 윤리 이론을 종합하여 디지털 시대 윤리교육의 새로운 방향성을 제시한다. 급변하는 시대에서 기술적 확장성과 연결성은 교육 환경을 재편 할 수도 있지만, 인간 관계에서 타자 관계의 중심성과 책임 윤리는 종종 소외되기 때문에 본 논문은 네트워크 기반 사회에서 윤리교육이 어떻게 재설계되어야 하는지를 레비나스의 감성 윤리를 통해 제안한다. AGI와 뇌-컴퓨터 인터페이스 기술은 인간 존재의 경계를 재정의하고 있다. Neuralink가 지향하는 인간과 AI의 결합은 인간 능력의 확장을 약속하는 동시에, 동일성 중심 문명을 강화할 위험을 내포한다. 이러한 상황에서 레비나스의 비동일성 철학은 타자의 고유성을 보존하는 윤리적 토대를 제공한다. 따라서 본 연구는 기술 중심 시대에 감성 윤리 기반 윤리교육의 방향성을 탐색함으로써, AGI 시대 인간다움의 보존과 확장을 동시에 모색하고자 한다.

This study proposes a new direction for ethics education in the digital age by integrating the global high-speed neural communication initiative Neuralink, promoted by Elon Musk, with the susceptibility ethical theory of Emmanuel Levinas. In rapidly changing times, technological scalability and connectivity reshape the educational environment, but the centrality and accountability ethics of others in human relationships are often neglected, so this paper proposes how ethics education should be redesigned in a network-based society through Levinas's emotional ethics. The advent of AGI and brain–computer interface technologies is redefining the boundaries of human existence. The vision pursued by Neuralink—the integration of human cognition with artificial intelligence—promises an expansion of human capacities, yet simultaneously risks reinforcing a civilization centered on sameness and totalization. In this context, Levinas’s philosophy of non-identity provides a critical ethical foundation for preserving the irreducible singularity of the Other. Accordingly, this study seeks to examine new directions for ethics education grounded in susceptibility and responsibility-based ethics in a technology-driven era, aiming to preserve and expand the meaning of humanity in the age of AGI.
