This paper discusses the derivation of predication as primitive of grammar through the constructions of small clauses that consist of two relations of predication. Starting from the concept of the derivation by phase proposed by Chomsky(1999, 2000, 2001), we argue the adequacy of the PrP analysis as phase in terms of more basic structural notion of the proposition. Furthermore, we argue that the structure of predication provides legible representation. This paper discusses the derivation of language with the dimensional derivation by PrP and shows that it can support the unified approach to predication estanblished in the constructions of complement small clauses and adjunct small clauses.
