부산항 컨테이너부두 고용관계의 실태와 개선방안

The State and Improvement Scheme of Emplyment Relations in Busan Container Port

A goal of this study is to analyse the state and explore improvement scheme of employment relations in Busan container ports. By reviewing literature and using the interview method to laborers, managers and shippers, problems of employment relations such as long hours of work, irrational increase of irregular laborer, and weak degree of democracy in union, dissatisfaction of rating management and promotion management, less incentive effect of performance-based compensation, inadequacy of safety management are found. In order to solve these problems, this study suggests that there is need to carry out improvement scheme such as strengthening adequacy of hours of work, decreasing irregular laborer, strengthening the degree of democracy in union, increasing openness of rating/ promotion management and number of promoted laborer, strengthening incentive effect of performance-based compensation, and strengthening adequacy of safety management. Lastly, suggestions for union and manager in Busan container ports, limitations of this study and suggestions for the study are suggested.
