견직물의 Sodium Metallation에 관한 연구

Study on the Sodium Metallation of Silk Fabric

  • 2

The scoured silk fabric was swollen by the DMSO, DMF, pyridine, methanol, and water respectively, after then each sample was metallated in the solution of sodium methoxide/methanol, in this reaction, The rate of metallation was increased as the reaction time becomes longer, reaction temperature becomes higher and the concentration of solution becomes higher, but this increasing was reached to the equilibrium State in a few hours. Among many solvents used for the swelling of silk fabric, the DMSO was the best one for ion exchange of silk fibroin and also the rate of metallation was increased more when each of the DMSO, DMF, and pyridine was used as a co-solvent with methnol than when methnol was used only and on the other side the rate of metallation was decreased as the rate of acetylation of silk was increased and therefore could see that the hydroxyl group is the main site for the reaction of acetylation. I assumed the reaction of metallation of silk is the first order at a initial stage of reaction and so when the silk sample was treated by DMSO for 22hrs at 60℃ and then the swollen silk sample was reacted with 0.1mole/1 sodium methoxide/methanol solution, the active energy of metallation reaction of silk was about 7.15Kcal/mole.
