Needs of the Housing Environment for the Elderly - In Case of the 3 Generations Sharing House -

With the increasing number of the aged people these days. there comes up a need a house and environment design for the elderly. In order to meet housing for the elderly house, this paper aimed to offer basic data for the internal and external environment of the elderly house, especially in case of the 3 generations sharing house. In an attempt to find out relations between the family characteristics of the middle aged and the their housing needs of the environment for 3 generations sharing house, a questionair was given to 1029 middle aged people living in the 10 medium and small cities all over the country. The sample populations were randomly selected. The collected data were analyzed by means factor analysis, multiple regressions, and major fidings are as follows: 1. Internal house environment is not devided, but external one is devided 4 factors by factor analysis, such as factors about family, community facilities, leisure and environmental pollutions. 2. Their family characteristics influence the housing needs of environment the satisfaction of family relations, the socio encomic status, the preferences for living with their parents. Less influential variables are the local scale of growth and the order of birth.
