The purpose of this study is to propose a pilot program for the elderly, namely 'looking into happiness.' This program is composed of 6 two-hour sessions and based on Glasser's(1992) reality-therapy. The main concepts of the reality-therapy re five genetic needs, total behaviors, responsibility, control, and choice. The goals of the program are to help senior citizens gain a new perspective for self-worth and learn to choose more effective behaviors rather than miserable behaviors in their everyday lives. This program is based on the assumptions that all humans are driven by five basic needs―survival, love, power, fun and freedom―which dictate and shape their lives; that all human behaviors are an attempt to satisfy one or more of these five needs; and that all of their conscious behaviors are chosen. Based on these assumptions, the senior citizens are to be facilitated to chose more effective ways to act and to think.
