Studies on the effects of dispersant, lubricating oil and mixed oil for exogenous to the early growth from germLing to juvenile sporeling of Myagrops{s myagroides, were carried out various concentrations. The early development or cell divlsions of the fertilized eggs, which have been released from receptacle, take place. An apical portion of the germling protrudes into meristoderm and its distal portion germinated into rhizoid. Thereafter, embryo formed the prim ary and secondary blade from apical growth region and its distal portion newly grew out hold fast. The allometric growth rate relationships between length and width were inhibited in the concentrations range of 10² ppm - 10⁴ ppm in dispersant, 10⁴ ppm in lubricating oil and 10¹ ppm - 10⁴ ppm in mixed oil, respectively. The geometric growth rates with lapsed time in day of embryo area, were inhibited in the con- centrations range of 10³ ppm - 10⁴ ppm in dispersant, 10³ ppm - 10⁴ ppm in lubricating oil and 10² ppm - 10⁴ ppm in mixed oil, respectively, while control and lower concentrations were promoted by elongation of embryos. This study indicated not only the potential use of this species as bioassay organism, but also that subtle ecological effects may be felt by algal community in areas of chronic, low and hiYl level dispersant, lubricating oil and mixed oil pollution.
