A Study on the Fishing Village within the Pu An Fisheries Cooperatives

This is a study of the "Fishng Village Guild" (fishermen's cooperative society) from the stand point of enterprise. The fishing Village Guild, the subject of this paper is the substructure of provincial fishing cooperatives established by formulating and operating the Fishing Cooperative Law in 1962. The reason why I selected Fishing Village Guild as a subject of this study is that it is a contemporary form of fishing cooperatives which has succeeded to the spirit of "Gye", the traditional cooperative body of Korea. A study contains as follows; 1. Function and role of Fishing Village Guild. 2. Sae- Ma - UL movement and the Fishing Village Guild. 3. A functional comparison of ex-Fishing Guild, the Fishing Village Guild and Fisheries Cooperaitves. 4. Management forms of Fishing Village Guild within the jurisdiction of Pu An Fisheries Cooperatives.
