서해연안 조간대에 서식하는 점망둑(Chasmichthys dolichognathus)의 식성

Feeding Habits of Chasmichthys dolichognathus in the Intertidal Zone in the West Coast of Korea

조간대에 서식하는 점망둑의 섭식 생태를 파 악하여 연안 생물 군집의 먹이 사슬에 관한 기초 지식을 얻고자, 1997년 5월부터 1998년 4월까지 충남 서천군 서면 도둔리에서 매월 1회씩 점망둑을 채집하여 위내용물 분석을 통해 섭식생태를 조사하였다.위만복도는 겨을철을 제외하고, 하루중 오전과 오후에 각각 한 차례씩 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 점망둑의 주요 먹이생물을 옆새우류, 갯지렁이류. 요각류 및 게류 등으로 식성이 육식성이었다. 그 외 복족류, 새우류, 이매패류,따게비 유생. 등각류 등이 소량씩 위내용물 중에 서 발견되었다 점망둑이 성장함에 따라 먹이생물의 조성이 점차 변하였다. 체장이 작은 점망둑은 옆새우류, 갯지렁이류 및 요각류를 비교적고르게 먹었으나, 체장이 증가하면서 요각류를 먹는 비율은 먹는 비율은 점차 낮아진 반면. 갯지렁이류, 게류를 먹는 비중은 증가하였다. 계절에 관계없이이 옆새우류. 갯지렁이류, 요각류 및 게류가 주요먹이생물이었으나. 봄과 가을에는 요각류가 차지하는 비율이 다른 계절에 비해 높았으며. 여름에는 옆새우류. 갯지렁이류 및 게류가 차지하는 비율이 다른 계절에 비해 높았다.

To know the food chain of an intertidal commuiuty, feeding habits oT Chasmichthys dolichognathus were studied by analyzing stomach contents. C. dolichognathus were monthlycollected and the feeding habits were investigated in the intertidal zone of Dodun-ri, Sochon from May 1997 to April 1998. Fullness of stomach was increased twice a day in the morning and afternoon except winter. C. dolichognathus(1.O~6.Ocm TL) was a carnivore which consumed mainly gammaridamphipods, polychaetes, copepods and crabs. Its diets included minor quantities of gastropods,shrimps. bivalves, cirriped larvae and stomatopods. C. dolichognathus showed ontogeneticchanges in feeding habits. Small individuals fed mainly on grammarid amphipods, polychaetesand copepods. While the portion of the stomach contents attributable to polychaetes and crabsincreased steadily with increasing fish size, consumption of copepods decreased progressivly.Although gammarid amphipods. polychaetes. copepeds and crabs were major prey organismsfor all seasons, the relative proportion of these food items changed with seasons. Consumptionof copepods was relatively high in spring and fall and consumption of gammarid amphipods,poIychaetes and crabs was relatively high in summer.
