This paper dealed with the influence af Bojo's Zen thought in the last period of Koreyo and the early period of Choseon. That period covers from the time receiving Imje's Zen thought to the time of King Taejong when Saint Muhak, Hwanam Honsu and Hamheo Kihwa had played an active part in Buddhism. In those days Koryeo dynasty had been destroyed and Choseon dynasty had established, In the same period Won dynasty had been destroyed and Myeng dynasty had established in China. In the world of domestic Buddhism Imje's Kanhwa-Zen(看話禪) played actively instead of Bojo's Zen (普照禪) cyclone and new-Confucianism(性理學) took the leadership instead of Buddhism. This paper inquired into the influence of Bojo's Zen cyclone centering around the Suseonsa and the figure of the lineage of Sagul-mountain. Especially I made the ideological connection with Bojo's three-gates system and Hyeasim's Kanwha(看話) one-gate system clear, And I clarified the influence of Kanhwa-Zen introduced and popularized by Bojo and Hyeasim on the three Zen-masters, Taego-Bawoo, Naong-Hyeageun and Pakwun-Kyeonghan and Imje-Zen, Lastly I could search for the influence of Bojo's Zen thought on the literary works of Zen master in the last period of Koreyo and the early period of Choseon. Summing up these contents, this paper will come to the following result. In those times, Zen masters had been influenced by Bojo's thought but they had not succeeded to his peculiar ideological tradition of thought of Sudden enlightenment and gradual practice and three-gates system. They had a bent for one-gate of Kanhwagyeongjeolmun(看i話l徑i截門). I think Naong-Hyeageun the biggist successor of Bojo's thought. And It is estimated that the consciousness of succession of Bojo's Zen and Suseonsa had been spreaded by the lineage of the Zen master Naong in the early period of Choseon than the last period of Koreyo. But it is too hard to say that the true succession of Bojo's Zen thought got accomplished in the early period of Choseon because took by new-Confucianism Even though the confrontation of Buddhism had been took by masters of Muhak and Kiwha, it is estimated that the sociality was short than the confrontation had took by Bojo-Chinul in the period of grasping political power of soldiers.
