한국 사회와 골프의 사회적 담론

The purpose of this study is to analyze the dynamic relationship between Korean society and golf, involving in the various sociological factors such as politics, economy, and individual levels of desire for sport participation. By this approach, the multiple dimensions of golf in Korean society, in deep understanding, are disclosed.<BR> In this respect, this study made to explain some social forces with golf in Korean society, First, Korean golf represents the economic value as a real property involved in the speculative investment which has been led Korean economic system to the matter of `bubble economy,` Unlike this negative fact, golf has emerged as new realm of sport marketing as suggested the case of Se Ri Pak and the Win-Win strategy of Sam Sung, Second, a political effect of Korean golf has accomplished the shape of golf culture in the vehicle of government power, approval and sanction, policy regulation of membership price for much tax interacted with the duty on luxury sport activity, The last, as the perspective of individual health, golf supports an adequate sporting environment for all people.<BR> Based on this analysis, this study also suggested some possibilities of `golf for all`, like concept of sport for all, from the positive reformation and support of Korean government, sound investment by business enterprises called by `Gaebul,` and changes of the masses of people.<BR> In the sociological perspective, Korean golf could not help being influenced by political, economic, and cultural forces. Even though the golf culture has many matters, future direction must be pursued in the openness for all people.
