The study was to investigate and analyze the present situation of management of the Taekwondo gyms in the United States in order to provide Taekwondo instructor not only in the States, but all over the world with necessary information for the successful operation. To gather data of this study researcher himseIf stayed in the U.S. and interviewed 5 successful Taekwondo masters from the three different States. The interviews were carried out with each master and the additional data were procured by the frequent irquiries on the phone. The result of this research was shown as following ;<BR> The firstly, a subject about culture, was analyzed into two elements cultural conflict and cultural fusion. Cultural conflict was studied in terms of linguistic barriers and culture shock.<BR> The secondly, a subject about space for an effective operation of Taekwondo gyms, shows two criteria: one is the place where to establish a gym; and the other is where should be the optimal place to manage it.<BR> The thirdly, an improving contents of Taekwondo and quality were as commodities. The most important factor was abilities and leadership of Taekwondo masters to judge it.<BR> The fourthly, coming subject is the price of training. The majority of interviewees responded that fixing a price should be considered with property values of the communities, comparing that of other gyms and quality of discipline, and that adopting discount policy like that of fitness centers is necessaIy.<BR> The lastly, promotion was subdivided into two methods. The one was using existing advertisement, and the other was getting vicarious advertising benefits by meeting the satisfaction of the training members.
